Expelled

I have to give Sheri Leming credit for turning me on to this movie. Ben Stein has made a documentary about scientist and scholars who are ostricised for teaching intelligent design, questioning Darwin, or just questioning the status quo in the scientific and academia world. It's called Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. I haven't benn able to see it yet but the trailers are fantastic.
Here's the website

Phil Hendrie

The boys and I use to listen to Phil when he was on KFI 640AM and is one of the greatest things I've ever come across. He's a radio host that IS his own guest. Watch the video below to get the idea.

Plus I've added a link to my torrent to download Phil's "best of" CD's for 1997 and 1998 to download. You must be a member of Demonoid.com CLICK HERE FOR THE TORRENT

Carter shows Colors, Again

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, second right lays a wreath at late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's grave in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Tuesday, April 15, 2008.

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) - Former President Jimmy Carter embraced a leading Hamas figure Tuesday, according to participants in a meeting that infuriated Israeli officials already upset by Carter's freelance Mideast peace mission.

Embracing leaders of recognized terror groups, laying wreaths at the graves of leaders of recognized terror states. Whats next, a Hitler scholarship fund? Jimmy Carter is becoming as bad as a former President as he was as President.

Demonoid Rises as TorrentSpy Dies

On September 25, 2007, the Demonoid website, forums and trackers went offline. On November 9, 2007, the website was shut down with a placeholder page, stating, "The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding."

On April 11, 2008 the RSS feeds of the site came online, however the links still pointed to the placeholder message. On the same day, approx. at 20:30 GMT the site came back online with the following message in the news section:

"Welcome back!

Since a few months ago, Deimos, the site administrator, lacks the necessary time to take care of the website, because of personal matters he's been needing
to attend to. For this reason, he has decided to leave the site staff.

Before leaving, he assigned a new site administrator from among his friends to take care of the site. The old moderator team will continue helping with the site, unchanged. We will try to keep running everything just as it always has been.

The trackers and website seem to be working properly, and should any issues arise, they will be taken care of as soon as possible. The site might be going on and offline over the next days as we work out any problems.

Welcome back, and enjoy your stay! - Umlauf Demonoid Site admin"

Friends of TorrentSpy,

We have decided on our own, not due to any court order or agreement, to bring the Torrentspy.com search engine to an end and thus we permanently closed down worldwide on March 24, 2008.

The legal climate in the USA for copyright, privacy of search requests, and links to torrent files in search results is simply too hostile. We spent the last two years, and hundreds of thousands of dollars, defending the rights of our users and ourselves.

Ultimately the Court demanded actions that in our view were inconsistent with our privacy policy, traditional court rules, and International law; therefore, we now feel compelled to provide the ultimate method of privacy protection for our users - permanent shutdown.

It was a wild ride,
The TorrentSpy Team
